For the first time in a while, I've had to cut the grass on the farm. We've had many sheep and the grassed areas were over grazed. So, we dispatched the sheep and then gave the ground a sabbath rest. The resulting weed jungle has been cleared with streamers but now we have grass everywhere. The challenge is to mow the the grass regularly to prevent weeds, mainly stinging nettles, from taking root... This takes about 90 mins pushing a petrol lawnmower and will be my pre 7am ritual at the weekends in the summer
